
65+ Employers Set for Tuscaloosa Job & Resource Fair
Residents in West Alabama will have a chance to meet with over 65 employers in one place for a chance to snag a job. Tuscaloosa is set to host a huge job fair for those searching for work.

Tuesday, August 26th, the Belk Activity Center will be the location of a job and resource fair hosted by the Alabama Department of Human Resources. The event is set to begin at 11a and end at 1p.
- Employment Opportunities – Many employers will be conducting on-site interviews.
- Free Government Phones – Available with proof of SNAP, VA, or SSI benefits, and a copy of your driver’s license.
- Children’s Services – Including Child Care Central, Parents as Teachers, and ALL Kids programs.
- Certificate & Training Programs – Such as Purple Owl & Phlebotomy Ink., and CDL training schools.
"I wanted this to be a one-stop shop, not just you go and look for a job," Mrs. Harris with A-Reset said in an interview with 105.1 The Block.
The job and resource fair will feature over 65 vendors and community resources like Cricket Wireless, Easter Seals, Shelton State Community College, Diamonds for Doulas, WAWC Healthcare, and more.
Mrs. Harris also stated in her interview that there will be a live DJ at the event, door prizes, and more for residents to enjoy.
The Tuscaloosa Area Job and Resource Fair happens August 26th from 11a-1p at the Belk Activity Center.
