Downed Power Line Causes Road Closure In West Alabama

Residents are being asked to seek alternate routes in West Alabama this morning after storms passed through the area Tuesday evening.

There is a downed power line reported near Wood Village this morning according to the city of Tuscaloosa.

"All lanes are currently closed on Rice Mine Rd. near Wood Village due to downed power line," the city of Tuscaloosa posted Wednesday morning on Facebook.

It's been reported that Alabama Power crews are on the scene working to make it safe for commuters. the city of Tuscaloosa is asking commuters to seek alternate routes for their morning commute.
