Dolly Parton is headed to Netflix. The country legend has announced that her own Dixie Pixie Productions is partnering with Warner Bros. Television to produce a series that will premiere on Netflix in 2019. Each episode of the series will focus on a different song from Parton's catalog, with the legendary singer appearing in select episodes.

"As a songwriter, I have always enjoyed telling stories through my music," Parton says. "I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favorite songs to life with Netflix. We hope our show will inspire and entertain families and folks of all generations, and I want to thank the good folks at Netflix and Warner Bros. TV for their incredible support.”

Previously, the icon teamed up with Warner Bros. for her 2016 NBC-TV film Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love and 2015's Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors.

Recently, she visited Nashville's Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital to help honor her niece, Hannah Dennison, who is a cancer survivor. Dennison was being honored at the dedication of the hospital’s newly-named Hannah Dennison Butterfly Garden. Parton previously wrote a song inspired by her niece called "Chemo Hero," which is dedicated to kids who fight cancer and their caregivers. The song is included on Parton’s 2017 children’s album I Believe in You. Upon the release of that album last fall, Parton donated $1 million to the children's hospital that took such good care of her niece.
