There is a wind advisory for Fayette, Lamar, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, and Walker counties going on now until 3 am Sunday for our immediate coverage areas.

This Wind Advisory also includes counties outside of our coverage area like Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Jefferson, Marion, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, and Winston.

Notice from the National Weather Service Birmingham. “A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR NORTHERN PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AL, MAINLY NEAR AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 20, FROM 6 pm SATURDAY EVENING UNTIL 3 am SUNDAY MORNING. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 15-20 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 35 TO 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED, ESPECIALLY IN HIGHER ELEVATION AREAS.”

Also, don’t get too comfortable with these decent warmer temperatures. Colder weather is on the way. The temperature drop will start on Monday.
