
Heat Advisory: West Alabama Faces Another Hot, Humid Day
Residents can expect another hot and humid day across West Alabama. The heat index values can reach up to 108.
The heat dome impacting many states with triple-digit heat will start to spread eastward. “Wednesday, hotter, more humid air will spread into parts of the Midwest and Great Lakes,” said The Weather Channel. Then, “Hot and humid air will also stretch into parts of the Northeast by Thursday.”
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a “Heat Advisory” for Wednesday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

After Wednesday, “Temperatures then moderating by a few degrees the end of the week and early weekend,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
Translation: “We'll transition from 'close to dangerous' heat on Wednesday, to 'regular' summertime heat by the end of the week.”
