Former Atlanta Braves star Chipper Jones will make one stop in the state of Alabama next month as part of a tour to promote his new book Ballplayer.

Jones announced a 9-stop tour in April that will take him to seven cities in four states. He is set to appear at Regions Field in Birmingham on Tuesday, April 11. The event appearance will begin at 5PM.

The career .300 hitter retired from Atlanta as one of the most accomplished players in franchise history. Jones played all 19 of his major league seasons with the Braves and helped the city win its only professional championship. His career included an NL MVP (1999), two Silver Slugger awards, an MLB batting title (2008), and eight All-Star appearances.

Atlanta retired Jones' number 10 jersey and inducted him into the Braves Hall of Fame in the summer of 2013.
