A social media post from the school stated that a report had been received that was connected to the Central High School Football team.

"Today we received an anonymous tip regarding a possible incident connected to after-school football practice," Principal Dr. Thomas Jones said in a statement posted to Facebook.

"While the report came second-hand and may not be credible, we are committed to prioritizing the safety of our students and staff," Dr. Thomas continued. "Out of an abundance of caution, we are taking all necessary and appropriate precautions.

The statement didn't exactly describe what the tip was about, but it was enough for the school's principal to release a statement.

"Please know that the safety of your children is always top priority. We will continue to keep you informed if additional information becomes available."
