I hope you enjoyed the warm temperatures while they lasted. Colder weather returns. Yikes, get ready for the temperature difference. We should have a few days of colder temperatures, then a slight bump, then back to the cold.

On the national front, a winter storm moves in the Midwest soon and will push towards the East early next week. Portions of Northern California could see ten feet of snow. That is pretty miserable. They could even get winds up to 100 miles per hour.

So, knowing all that, I’m pretty ok with our snap back to Alabama January temperatures. For our area, the normal on average January temperatures highs range between 53 and 55. The average lows for this time frame are, on average, around 33 degrees.

Today, Thursday, January 28, 2021, it will be cloudy then becoming sunny. The high for today is 48, while the low is 27.

Friday will be sunny with a high near 55. Friday night, the low will be around 36 degrees with partly cloudy conditions.

A slight bump in temperatures for Saturday; the high will be near 69 with mostly cloudy skies. Saturday night, expect showers with a low near 53.

Sunday, the day will start with showers. You can expect a high near 65 with a low near 38.

Monday, the cold temperatures return with an expected 47 degrees.
