On Monday (Aug. 26), the Americana Music Association officially announced its lineup of performers for the 2019 Americana Honors & Awards ceremony. Brandi Carlile, John Prine, Elvis Costello and Rhiannon Giddens are just a few of the artists scheduled to appear onstage.

The evening's bill will also feature I'm With Her, Delbert McClinton, Lori McKenna, Maria Muldaur, Amanda Shires, Mavis Staples, Jade Bird, Mark Erelli, Ruston Kelly, J.S. Ondara, Our Native Daughters, Erin Rae, The War and Treaty and Yola. Additionally, according to the AMA, some surprise guests will join the lineup.

Many of the announced performers will be up for awards during the ceremony, too. All four of the nominees for Album of the Year are scheduled to take the stage (Prine, McKenna, Shires and Yola), while Carlile, Giddens and Staples are all in the running for Artist of the Year. Prine and McKenna are up for Song of the Year, too, as are Kelly and Erelli, and three of the four candidates for Duo/Group of the Year (I'm With Her, the War and Treaty, Our Native Daughters) are set to perform. Every single artist nominated in the category of Emerging Artist of the Year -- Bird, Ondara, Rae, the War and Treaty and Yola -- will also deliver a set during the ceremony.

In addition to her nominations in the show's annual award categories, Giddens will also receive the inaugural Legacy of Americana Award, presented by a new partnership between the AMA and the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM). The award will celebrate Giddens' commitment to innovation in music as well as her sharp appreciation of its history. Pioneering folk musician and composer Frank Johnson will be honored alongside her.

The AMA has also revealed that the Milk Carton Kids will be back to host the 2019 Americana Honors & Awards. 2018 marked the duo's first year helming the ceremony, after they took over duties from longtime awards show host Jim Lauderdale. Musical director Buddy Miller will also return to the show, once again leading his All-Star House Band for the evening's festivities.

As was the case in 2018, live simulcasts of the ceremony will air on SiriusXM's Outlaw Country. Fans can also listen to the show on Nashville area terrestrial radio stations WRLT (100.1 FM), WSM (650 AM) and WMOT (89.5 FM). Additionally, a livestream video of the show will be broadcast via NPRMusic.org, so that fans can watch the show remotely in realtime.

On Nov. 23, fans will have the opportunity to relive the highlights of the show, as PBS will broadcast a special episode of Austin City Limits called ACL Presents: The Americana 18th Annual Honors. The 2019 Americana Honors & Awards ceremony will take place on Sept. 11 at downtown Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.
