Bo Scarbrough Suffers Fractured Leg in National Championship
Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough's breakout postseason came to an abrupt end against Clemson when he exited the game in the third quarter and never returned.
There was no news on his injury following the game, but the University of Alabama confirmed on Monday that the sophomore fractured his leg.
“Bo Scarbrough suffered a fracture to his right lower leg during the game," Saban said in a school released statement. "The injury is non-surgical and we anticipate he will make a full recovery.”
Scarbrough finished the night with 99 yards rushing on 16 carries, which included two touchdown runs in the first half. He finished the College Football Playoff with 283 yards and four touchdowns against Washington and Clemson.
The Tuscaloosa native would likely get a lot of NFL Draft consideration if he decided to pursue a professional career, but Scarbrough said earlier in the week that he intends to return to school for another season.
