If Alabama pull off its second straight national championship over Clemson on Monday, they might have former quarterback Blake Sims to thank.

The 2014 SEC Champion is in Tampa after signing a practice squad contract with the Bucs and stopped by Audio Avenue to talk about this year's Alabama team.

During the discussion with Ryan Fowler, Sims confirmed that he has been playing the role of Deshaun Watson at Alabama football practice. Not only are they both similar dual-threat quarterbacks, but both guys played high school football in Gainesville, Georgia.

The entire conversation provides a great perspective on this year's Crimson Tide defense as well as Jalen Hurts. Sims has first-hand experience in that role and he gives some great insight into this game.
