Bite This! Find Out if Tuscaloosa’s Slim Chickens Big Dill is a Big Deal
Our foodie instincts kicked in when Bite This caught wind of the new limited-time menu addition at Slim Chickens, compelling us to embark on a delicious investigation.

A welcoming young lady greeted me and thoughtfully explained the intricacies of the sandwich, which made taste-testing this sandwich even more exciting. [Kudos for excellent customer service]
Our culinary exploration led us to the latest addition to the craft sandwich lineup: the Big Dill Chicken Sandwich. According to the Slim Chickens menu description, it is a “Fried chicken breast with crispy fried pickles, fresh pickles & housemade pickle aioli on a toasted brioche bun.”
Slim Chickens - Big Dill Chicken Sandwich - Bite This! Review
Presentation:
It was styled very nicely in the Slim Chickens signature box. On top of that, it smelled delicious.
Taste:
This sandwich is a flavor bomb, thanks to combining all ingredients topped with the pickle aioli. The fried chicken boasts an outer crunch that sparks excitement, followed by succulent, juicy meat that perfectly complements the robust pickle profile.
Texture:
I’ll be honest; I wasn’t sure what to expect when combining the texture of the fried pickles and fresh pickles, but it works. The fried pickles give you that salty experience, and the fresh pickles tie in the sour.
Honorable Mention:
The toasted brioche bun is a YES PLEASE! It was super soft and a little warm piece of heaven.
Value:
Opting for the value meal, which includes fries and a drink, proved to be a savvy choice—all for under 10 bucks. That’s a definite win in our budget-friendly dining guide.
Overall:
Bite This! wholeheartedly endorses the Big Dill Chicken Sandwich, proudly giving it our stamp of approval as a true BIG DEAL.
