Billy Ray Cyrus has confirmed that his daughter, Miley Cyrus, has married actor Liam Hemsworth.

The "Achy Breaky Heart" singer turned to Facebook on Thursday (Dec. 27) to post a picture of himself and his wife, Tish, posing with their daughter on her wedding day.

"Congratulations Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth! Long live love!" he writes to accompany the photo.

According to Nashville's Tennessean newspaper, Cyrus and Hemsworth married at her rural estate in Franklin, Tenn., on Sunday (Dec. 23.) The news broke before any official announcement when a friend who attended the wedding posted some photos online. The singer posted some of her own pictures to Instagram on Dec. 26, showing the couple kissing and embracing, including one she captioned, "10 years later."

Cyrus and Hemsworth first met while filming The Last Song in 2008. They got engaged in 2012, but then called the engagement off and spent three years apart before resuming their relationship in 2015.

News of their wedding comes just over a month after the couple lost the home they shared in Malibu to the wildfires that ravaged California. In a post to social media, Cyrus called herself "one of the lucky ones," adding, "My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong."

The newlyweds are reportedly spending the holidays in Tennessee.
