T-Town also has certain places that are just known for a specialty. Recently, I asked my colleagues to recommend a place where I could take friends and family to a brunch they would not forget. We were not disappointed.

I was very impressed with Five Bar, located at 2324 6th St downtown, and the fact that the whole concept of Five is five dinners, five wines and five signature cocktails.

When family and friends arrived on Sunday, we went over for brunch and were met at the door, greeted by the host and seated within minutes.

The menu had something for everyone. From chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and "breakfast cheeseburgers," to steak and hash and the Five Burrito.

They also had drink specials that paired perfectly with any entrée. Needless to say, brunch was a huge success with the visiting family and friends.

Brunch isn’t the only thing they offer at Five, they have happy hour every day from 4 to 6 p.m. and ladies' night on Thursdays where all beer and well drinks are half-price. Five also offers the ladies $2 off wine by the glass and more.

On Wednesday nights they offer "wine-down" so patrons can get bottles of wine for half price.

I'll definitely be back again, and if you are looking for an excellent dining experience then Five is your place. Those looking for more can check them out at Five-Bar.com.
