Beryl Upgraded to Hurricane Status, Predicted to Intensify Quickly

Beryl has escalated to hurricane status and is predicted to rapidly intensify. As it approaches the Windward Islands as a major hurricane, it poses a significant threat of life-threatening winds and storm surge.
The Center of Hurricane Beryl and Current Track
According to the National Hurricane Center, the “center was located near latitude 10.1 North, longitude 49.3 West.”
Beryl is moving toward the west near 22 mph (35 km/h).
Expectations of Beryl
A swift westward to west-northwestward trajectory is anticipated in the coming days.
“On the forecast track, the center of Beryl is expected to move across the Windward Islands late Sunday night and Monday,” said the National Hurricane Center.

Forecasters also predict that Beryl will become a major hurricane. In addition, Beryl could continue its path toward the Central and Northwestern Caribbean as well.
