Simone Eli comes to 95.3 The Bear with more than six years experience in the television business. Simone is from Genoa, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University, playing on the D-1 basketball team; while earning her Master’s of Education in Sports Administration and Bachelor of Science in Journalism. At BGSU, Simone played on the Women’s Division 1 basketball team. During her career, Simone played on teams that won 3 Mid-American Conference Championships in 2010, 2011 and 2012. She and her teammates earned a spot in two NCAA Tournaments and made two WNIT Tournament appearances. Prior to coming to Tuscaloosa, Simone was the Weekend Sports Anchor at KPRC 2 (NBC) in Houston, Texas. While at KPRC, Simone primarily covered professional sports, college and high school football. Simone is no rookie to living in Alabama. From 2013-2014, Simone held the Sports Director position at WALA FOX10 News in Mobile, where she covered SEC Football. Simone is engaged to Bart Sessions, the head football coach at Tuscaloosa County High School. Go Wildcats!
