Arctic Blast Grips Alabama with Extreme Cold and Wind Chills
Much of the southern region has been facing extremely cold conditions and dangerous wind chill values. These concerns also include Alabama and will last for a few more days.
The Weather Channel said, “A smattering of daily record lows and record cold high temperatures are possible.”
Cold Weather Advisory Alert
These West Alabama Counties are under a cold weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service in Birmingham until Wednesday, January 22, at 9 a.m.
Residents in these counties can expect “very cold temperatures as low as 5 above,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
Wear appropriate clothing to protect yourself from frostbite and hypothermia. These subfreezing temperatures could also cause pipes to burst.
