Alabamians Can Expect Another Wave of Arctic Conditions
Expect several more days of chilly temperatures in our area, as another cold spell is set to arrive this weekend. However, milder conditions are on the horizon for next week.
You can expect a slight temperature improvement from our past bitterly cold temperatures for our area tomorrow. I want to stress the word “slight” because the highs will be in the low to mid-40s across our coverage area. That’s still considered cold for the Deep South but better than freezing conditions.

Another Arctic Blast
On Friday, brace yourself for yet another wave of Arctic air sweeping in, causing temperatures to drop. As a result, we can expect frigid lows in the teens for Saturday and Sunday morning.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that “the weekend will be dry with a sunny sky both days; the northern half of Alabama will stay below freezing all day Saturday, with the mid-30s for South Alabama. Then, highs return to the 40s Sunday.”
Outlook for Next Week
“A pattern flip means much warmer weather for the Deep South and the contiguous U.S. We will be dry Monday, but the rest of the week looks fairly wet with periods of rain daily Tuesday through Friday. Highs will be generally in the 50s Monday and Tuesday, followed by 60s Wednesday through Friday," said Spann.
