We have had several days of busy and active weather across Alabama, and today and tomorrow will be no different.

We are currently in the middle of various waves of strong to severe thunderstorms, so the best bet is to stay weather aware.

Sunday Outlook

For the entire state of Alabama, the Storm Prediction Center has issued risk levels ranging from thunderstorm risk to marginal risk and slight risk.

For West Alabama, the current risk level is marginal for the following counties: Bibb, Greene, Hale, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa.

Monday Outlook

This will be another day of active weather with showers and strong-severe thunderstorms.

As of right now, the Storm Prediction Center has the entire state of Alabama under a slight risk level.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham said that storms on Monday will have “early morning activity, followed by another round during the afternoon and evening hours.”

Threats for Sunday and Monday

“Damaging winds up to 60 mph, quarter-size hail, and isolated tornadoes,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
