Alabama Seafood Restaurant Crowned One of America’s Finest
Seafood can be prepared in many ways. My favorite is any seafood that is either grilled or broiled, but give me a piece of fried catfish and some white bread, and I’m in culinary heaven.
You can also bake, steam, sauté, poach, and, something new for me, ceviche. That’s a no-cook method in which the seafood is “cooked” in citrus juice.

As a self-proclaimed foodie, seafood offers many options, from fish to crab, squid, and my favorite, scallops.
An Alabama seafood restaurant has been named among the best in America.

The Original Oyster House in Spanish Fort, Alabama
Cheapism said, "Since the '80s, this seafood destination has celebrated Gulf cuisine. Come with a group and run as much of the menu as you can.
The history behind the top-notch seafood spot dates back to 1982. The Original Oyster House Restaurant said it was a “dream of enthusiastic entrepreneurs, Joe and Mary Lou Roszkowski and David and Jane Dekle.”
The restaurant is right off the Causeway between Mobile and Spanish Fort, so you can get a great meal and a view. The dining room and banquet room have water views.
The restaurant said, “It’s also a great stop for lunch or dinner after exploring the city and the World War II battleships, submarine and fighter planes at the USS Battleship Memorial Park located just 4 miles down the road.
