Alabama Man Accidentally Shoots His 2-Year-Old Son

This is news no parent wants to hear. Thoughts of a 2-year-old being injured are never good. Let alone a shooting injury.

According to ABC 33/40, police responded to a call in regards to a gunshot wound to a 2-year-old victim. The unexpected news was that the gunshot wound came from the 2-year-old's father.

The child sustained a non-life threatening injury, according to the mother. The father says he accidentally disharched his firearm while outside. That bullet went into the bedoom wall and struck his sleeping son.

This is unfortunate news but thank goodnes the child is okay. I couldn't imagine getting a call about my son being shot. I'm sure no parent would no matter how young or old the child is. I hope all gun owners practice gun safety. Things like this are horror stories for parents and could be prevented with proper gun safety measures. Having your guns in a safe helps keep unwanted people away from firearms and allow for safe storage. The question then becomes, "How do you stay safe when a firearm is in your possession?

Make sure you're practicing gun safety especailly wit hchildren around. According to the NRA, a few tips for practicing gun safety are:
