2023 4-star defensive end Hunter Osborne from Hewitt-Trussville High School committed to the University of Alabama on Monday.

According to 247Sports Composite Osborne is the 130th ranked prospect nationally, 18th ranked defensive end and 12th ranked prospect in the state of Alabama.

"Flashes a good first step off the line of scrimmage, displaying good foot and body quickness at the point of attack. Plays with good knee bend and flexibility, showing the ability to bend the edge. Sudden rusher, moves efficiency in his pass rush. Can win with speed, quickness, and power. Shows the ability to go speed to power at the point of attack, plays with a good understanding of leverage and body control. Closes space quickly and flashes excellent backside pursuit ability. Appears to have a good motor," wrote national recruiting analyst Cooper Patagna.

In 2021 Osborne registered 60 tackles, 10 for loss, and sacked the quarterback 5.5 times. The defensive end also tacked on 9 PBUs.

Osborne's final decision came down to Texas, Clemson and Tennessee but he chose Alabama citing Saban's greatness.

The Husky received an offer in January and attended camp in Tuscaloosa in June, he was recruited by defensive line coach Freddie Roach

His commitment brings the Crimson Tide up to 17 commitments for the 2023 cycle and he becomes the second defensive line commit in the group.
