4-star defensive end Yhonzae Pierre committed to the University of Alabama on April 14 but he is still working hard to impress the Crimson Tide coaching staff. Pierre, out of Eufaula, Alabama is considered the No. 14 prospect in the state of Alabama by 247Sports, a ranking that could improve with a strong senior season.

BamaInsider's Andrew Bone recently reports that Pierre was utterly dominant during the Tide's OL/DL summer camp that it just held. Bone reports that Pierre was unblockable during camp, putting on one of the best performances during the summer camp season.

Pierre is rated as the second-best edge player in the state of Alabama behind 5-star Jaquavious Russaw out of Carver High School in Montgomery.

The Eufaula product is listed at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds and reportedly recorded 16 tackles for a loss with seven sacks as a junior. His Tigers lost to the eventual 6A state champion Hueytown Golden Gophers.

The Alabama Crimson Tide fans are excited to see edge rushers Will Anderson, Dallas Turner and Chris Braswell in 2022 but even after Anderson departs the Tide will continue to make edge rusher a position of strength with the incoming Alabama-native.
