Today, on national signing day, Alabama landed the commitment of 5-star safety Terrion Arnold. Arnold, a native of Tallahassee, Florida is the No. 2 ranked safety and No. 25 ranked player overall according to 247Sports. The two-sport standout chose Alabama over offers from Georgia and Florida.

Alabama now has seven players among 247Sports's top 28 players for the class of 2021. JC Latham, Tommy Brockermeyer, Dallas Turner, Ga’Quincy McKinstry, Jacorey Brooks and Deontae Lawson signed with the Tide during the early signing period.

As a senior, Arnold accounted for 49 tackles and four interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, broke up five passes and forced a fumble. He was named Tallahassee-Democrat Defensive Player of the Year and was a MaxPreps All-Florida second-team selection on defense.

Arnold spent his high school career lined up at safety, but has shown the versatility to also play cornerback. He is a technically sound tackler and possess a high football IQ. One of the more completed defensive backs in the 2021 recruiting class, Arnold could see playing time early because of his skillset.

Arnold also plans on playing basketball at the collegiate level, joining Ga’Quincy McKinstry as two recruits that could potentially play for Alabama on the gridiron and the hardwood.
