According to America, Alabama is the Worst

If you're an Alabama resident, I hope you're sitting down. The prognosis isn't good. Look, there's no good way to say this, so I'll just get it over with.

America hates us.

Yes, you read that correctly. A survey by Business Insider (albeit, a small one) produced a very clear picture of the way this state is perceived relative to the other 49 states. According to the results, Alabamians are horrible looking people that cook disgusting foods while speaking unintelligibly. Thankfully, there's a good chance you're not even reading this because your low intelligence likely prevents any hope for literacy.

Okay, I might be reading a bit much into the findings of this 1,600 person survey, but how can you not? Sure, some people think we're good sports fans and a few of you might be considered nice, but that's about all we have going for us.

Let's go ahead and look at these maps together because misery loves company, right?

First up, accents. The Southern dialect has moved from charming to 'weird.'

Next is beauty, none of which resides in our state.

At least we eat well, right? Nope.

So there you have it. Close to 0.000006% of the US population has spoken, and they all agree that no one outside of Alabama wants to call this state home. Fortunately for us, we love it.
