Above-Average Temperatures Continue

Even though the autumn equinox was yesterday, we are still experiencing above-average temperatures for September.  Today, you can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 91.  Tonight, the low will be near 65 with mostly clear conditions.  Also, there is no substantial rain in the forecast for the rest of this week.  However, there is a chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evenings for the next few days.

Let’s talk tropics!  Moving northward, Tropical Storm Karen has the potential to strengthen as it moves across Puerto Rico today.  The expectation is that Karen will then have a more westward approach.  It is still too early to determine if it will impact the U.S.  Tropical Storm Lorenzo will have a northward turn and place it east of the U.S. but has the potential to become a hurricane by the end of the week.  Tropical Storm Jerry is weakening as it passes near Bermuda on Wednesday and should steer away from the U.S.

Have a great Tuesday - @MaryKRadio
