With everyone burying their heads in their phones anytime we have a few spare seconds, it pays to keep your business top of mind on social media.

At this past Saturday's ABBY Awards in Birmingham, we learned that our hard work paid off in the form of an award from the Alabama Broadcasters Association.

It was with help from 4,100 Twitter followers, over 14,000 Facebook friends and just over 800 YouTube subscribers that our name was pushed to the top of the list when giving out the Medium Market Social Media award. But the amount of followers is just a drop in the bucket. Facebook shares and engagement as well as YouTube views and Twitter interactions also helped 95.3 The Bear to achieve this milestone.

All of this would not have been possible without you. Thank you for all of the views, shares, comments and grass roots marketing you've done for us over the years. We humbly accept this ABBY Award on your behalf.
