How about dat Mac Jones?  No Tua, No problem for Alabama's back up quarterback.  In fact, the Alabama coaches named six players of the week following the Crimson Tide’s 48-7 victory over Arkansas last Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Miller Forristall and Mac Jones on offense; Anfernee Jennings, Terrell Lewis and Patrick Surtain II on the defense; and Joseph Bulovas were all selected for their play against the Razorbacks heading into the Tide’s bye week.

OFFENSE

Miller Forristall

  • Caught two passes for 11 yards, converting one first down for the Tide
  • Added one kickoff return for a gain of three yards
  • The redshirt junior also helped block for UA’s rushers to accumulate 179 yards on the night

Mac Jones

  • Made his first career start as a member of the Crimson Tide
  • Put together an efficient performance with the redshirt sophomore finishing 18-of-22 for 235 yards and three touchdowns through the air
  • Added one rush before exiting in the third quarter

DEFENSE

Anfernee Jennings

  • Picked off a pass and broke up a pair of passes in another impressive performance from the redshirt senior
  • Also contributed four tackles on the day
  • Helped limit the Razorbacks to only 213 yards of total offense

Terrell Lewis

  • Provided pressure off the edge all night, recording a career-high six quarterback hurries
  • Added three tackles and a pass breakup on the night
  • The redshirt junior’s efforts helped force Arkansas into a combined 11-of-26 night passing that included three interceptions

Patrick Surtain II

  • The sophomore picked off a pass with a return of 24 yards, one of the Crimson Tide’s three interceptions on the day
  • Finished with three tackles, including one for loss (-1 yard) and broke up one pass on Homecoming

SPECIAL TEAMS

Joseph Bulovas

  • Totaled 12 points on the day thanks to a pair of field goals and six made PATs in as many attempts
  • Was good from 31 and 30 yards out on the three-point attempts
  • Also kicked off nine times for 501 yards with the redshirt sophomore averaging 55.7 yards per boot with three touchbacks
