Kane Brown leads the list of country nominees at this year's American Music Awards with three nods.

While Brown's name was absent on a list of CMA Awards nominees, the "Lose It" hitmaker is up for Favorite Male Artist — Country, Favorite Album – Country for his 2016 self-titled debut release and Favorite Song – Country for his No. 1 single "Heaven" at the AMAs.

Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line and Dan + Shay are close behind him with two nods each. TR is also nominated as Favorite Male Artist - Country and Favorite Album - Country for Life Changes, while FGL are nominated in the category of Favorite Song - Country for their 41-week No. 1 hit with Bebe Rexha, "Meant to Be," plus Favorite Duo/Group Country. Dan + Shay are recognized with nods for Favorite Song - Country for "Tequila" as well as Favorite Duo/Group Country.

Additional country acts who are nominated for 2018 American Music Awards: Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Kelsea BalleriniMaren Morris, Carrie Underwood and Lanco.

The American Music Awards honorees are tracked by Billboard, with winners based on total fan interaction, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring numbers in a specific period (Sept. 15, 2017 through Aug. 9, 2018 for the 2018 awards).

The 2018 AMAs will be broadcast live on ABC from L.A.'s Microsoft Theater on Oct. 9 at 8PM ET.
