I'm getting cut open tomorrow, y'all. And yeah--I'm nervous.

I have surgery planned for tomorrow (Wednesday, February, 1). I know I am in good hands, but my anxiety is still pretty high.

I'm having (and Lord, help me spell this correctly) a Nissen Fundoplication. I've had awful reflux for a long time, and this operation will help me get back to leading a normal life, as I'm pretty dang tired of eating TUMS by the fistful and shelling out mad cash for prescription PPI drugs that don't work--all while dealing with heartburn so bad it comes up my throat.

I know I'm in good hands. I have an excellent doctor, and I know the staff at Northport Medical Center will take good care of me, but I can't help but be nervous. I'll be out of commission for the next few days, and I'll be back on the radio Monday.

Now excuse me while I go freak out.
