What’s The Best Plan For Paddling Hurricane Creek?

I want to plan a canoe trip on Hurricane Creek but need a little help.

The new access to PARA's Hurricane Creek Park on Hwy 216 seems like the logical place to start a canoe trip. I've studied a map on Friends of Hurricane Creeks website but I am not as familiar with the landmarks as I should be I guess.

I want to take the family but I want to be able to stop periodically along the way and let the kids splash around.  I see in the map below 'stopping points'. are the banks of the creek open to anyone paddling by? Is there a point to exit the creek before it opens up to the river? Can I have a vehicle parked and waiting there?

I may just take the trip alone and scope it out. Do you have any suggestions?
