What Would Alabama Be Favored Against the Other CFB Playoff Favorites?
There's a long way to go until the we reach the College Football Playoff but a handful of teams have started separating from the rest of the pack.
The top five teams in the AP poll haven't done much to change the opinion that they're the front-runners to play for a national championship this year, but Alabama has made it clear that someone will have to come and take the belt from them. The Crimson Tide has run through its first three opponents by a combined score of 170-28 and it could have been worse.
So what how would Vegas set the point spreads for Alabama's game against the other top five teams in the country? Tony Miller, Golden Nugget Sportsbook Director, posted those game of the year lines on Twitter this week to share what they had inside their Vegas casino.
It might be a little surprising to see that Ohio State would be the smallest spread of the group. The Buckeyes would be the only team to keep it under a 10-point spread right now. That could and probably will change some before December, but it shows you just how highly Vegas thinks of Alabama right now.
The Tide is 3-0 against the spread so far this season and will be 27-point favorites when Texas A&M comes to town on Saturday.
