Technical Difficulty in Tuscaloosa, Alabama: Tommy with No Email
We've all been there at some point in our lives. Sometimes it's a blessing, but most of the time it's a curse. We all have to go through it, and it's not fun.
Technical Difficulties. Just the mere mention of them sends shivers down any parent's or children's spines. Computers around you having suddenly blue screened for no reason.
Ok so it's not that dramatic, but hey, it made you double take at any computer around you right?
Whether it be the power being out, or simply something not turning on when pressing the power switch, they get in the way too many times. And wouldn't you know it, it happened to your old pal Paradise this past weekend.
It started out like any other day. My password to my email expired. Resetting the password is simple obviously, but I must have been too tired to realize, at the time, the error that occurred. After resetting and regaining access, I checked what I needed and logged out.
In retrospect, I shouldn't have logged out but I digress.
The next day I tried to log in, and it kept saying my password was wrong and to reset it if I forgot it. Eventually after multiple failed attempts, frustration took over and I decided to reset my password again.
There was just one tiny problem. It wouldn't let me change my password. So there I was, stranded on a metaphorical island. No access to email, and possibly missing something important from any coworker. In other words I was basically panicking. All because somehow I mistyped my new password twice, it matched BOTH times, and went through.
Talk about luck right?
Thankfully, on Monday I was able to get in touch with tech support and they told me that it wasn't a big deal and helped me get my email back. But thankfully, no incredibly important emails were missed and thankfully things are back to normal.
Now I got to work on my typing skills because this can't happen again...
