Winter Storm Watch

Confidence is increasing for snowfall across Alabama early this week, and as such, the National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Winter Storm Watch.

A Winter Storm Watch is currently in effect for our area, and if anyone can tell what's in store for Tuscaloosa and West Alabama over the next 48 hours, it's James Spann!

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for much of our listening area in advance of a weekend that could bring significant snowfall to Tuscaloosa and the rest of central Alabama.

Tuscaloosa is now under a WINTER STORM WATCH beginning Friday at 6am.  Listen to today Wild Bill Show for updates every hour and also snowman building tips too! The chances of seeing snow in West Alabama are looking much higher, as the National Weather Service in Birmingham has already issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Friday (January 6) morning through Saturday (January 9) morning.

Tuscaloosa could see up to 1/4 of ice and freezing rain as a major winter storm makes its way across the state late Monday and early Tuesday. The latest forecast also calls for up to an inch of snow.
