Something is going on with the snake population in Alabama. It seems we are hearing or seeing a crazy snake story every other day! In fact, recently reports on this fact have been released. For example, bites are UP almost 50% in Alabama in 2022.

I'm not a fan. This story involves a friend of mine in Tuscaloosa, with a farm. A beautiful farm with many animals. My friend, B.J. Perkins, runs Tuscaloosa's platinum-rated car dealership, Townsend Nissan. A fantastic place, that I have done business with multiple times.

This is the absolute worst story I have ever reported. I love Alabama. ROLL TIDE! Sweeeeeeeeeeeet HOME Alabama!!! However, what is with all the snake stories involving them inside with folks? This is enough of this stuff.

Whatever. I don't like spiders and snakes. Sorry, I know they have a reason they're here and without them the planet would be in trouble. Blah, blah, blah. I still don't want them around me.

I grabbed this video of a chicken snake over the weekend. It can't really hurt you, but it wants you to think it can.

This is the coolest "home-made" video I have seen in a while. A friend of mine, Big Daddy Lawler, shared a fellow from Kingston, Alabama, Jason Sutherland, video on his Facebook page a few days ago. It's a must see! It seems he shot this video in his YARD.

Yesterday, a vacationing friend sent me the picture above of a snake which had been roused from it's slumber inside an outside storage facility. She wasn't sure if the snake was poisonous but she informed me the snake was no longer with us because her husband decapitated it with a pool net...
