An eight-run fourth inning propelled the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team to a series sweep of the Texas A&M Aggies. The Crimson Tide went on to run-rule the Aggies by a score of 14-6 in six innings. Alabama improves its record to 29-4, 9-3 in SEC play and the loss drops the Aggies to 25-8, 4-5 in SEC play.
After getting out to a blazing 19-1 start before conference play officially began, Alabama softball has began to stumble a bit headed into the most important part of the season.
The Alabama Crimson Tide (15-0) dominated from the circle tonight to defeat Mississippi State (8-5) 4-0. Alabama was carried by star pitcher, junior Montana Fouts. Fouts set a career-high in strikeouts tonight, mowing down 16 Bulldog batters on her way to her seventh win of the season.
Coach Patrick Murphy and the Alabama softball team enjoyed a successful afternoon in a doubleheader against the North Carolina Tar Heels to get to 13-0 on the season.
