The Crimson Tide finished as the highest placing SEC school in the NCAA Championships with a program record 288 program record, its best finish since 1983. However, Thomas and the controversy that followed her became the story that swam away with the headlines.

National Girls & Women in Sports Day is Wednesday, February 2. The recognition important to White because it teaches young girls that they are strong and independent. For White, the day reminds her to have confidence in herself, knowing she is strong and capable of overcoming challenges. Looking at all of White's accomplishments it's no doubt she has a very strong mindset and big goals for her self.
