College football's 2020 season is now on life support as the Big 10 and Pac-12 have opted to cancel their seasons. Both cite medical information presented to the conference leaders as reasons why playing football amid the coronavirus pandemic is just not feasible. Lately we have been told of a heart condition that can manifest itself in those who have had COVID-19, myocarditis.

There will be no fans in Beaver Stadium in Happy Valley, Pennsylvania this year for Penn State this year, according to Brett McMurphy of Watchstadium.com. Beaver Stadium has a capacity of 106,000 and is known for a raucous atmosphere.

It's safe to say that wearing face masks have become the new normal in Alabama and America. I remember back in April when I saw my first facemask out in public. It looked so odd. I thought to myself "Is that really necessary? Do they feel more protected?" Fast-forward a few months and we're under a statewide mandate to wear facemasks.

Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman, Chance Warmack has decided to opt out of the 2020 NFL season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Warmack is not deemed high risk but has decided to sit out because people close to him have contracted COVID-19.

COVID-19 is still very much real, and with the July 14th Primary Runoff Election right around the corner, many are wondering if face masks will be required at the polls. Alabama Secretary of State John H. Merrill and Attorney General Steve Marshall are warning counties against requiring masks at the polls on election day.

The City of Tuscaloosa is helping residents to comply with the face coverings ordinance by hosting covering distributions on July 13 through 20.

Hospitals in Tuscaloosa, Northport, and Fayette are said to be seeing a combined decrease in hospitalized patients being treated for COVID-19.
