After taking down the American Christian Patriots (13-1, 7-0) 34-13, the Handley Tigers (11-1, 6-0) have punched a ticket to the 4A State Championship game in Bryant-Denny Stadium next week.

American Christian Academy needed just nine plays to put its first playoff game out of reach, as the Patriots cruised to a 65-21 win over Geneva.

The American Christian Academy Patriots (8-0, 6-0) are one of the strongest teams in the Tuscaloosa area. One of the leaders of the Class 4A Region 3 Champion Patriots is cornerback and wide receiver Kamari Lassiter. The senior athlete has been a major factor in his team's success and recently was invited to the All-American Bowl.

Friday night, the American Christian Patriots (8-0, 6-0) dismantled the Dallas County Hornets (3-5, 3-3) 47-16. From start to finish, ACA dominated with over 330 total yards and seven total touchdowns. This eighth straight win secured ACA a third straight region title.

No. 1 ACA travels to No. 2 Bibb County on Friday night in a battle of the top two teams in Class 4A.

As another electric week of high school football in the state of Alabama comes to an end, some teams in the Tuscaloosa area are looking fierce early on.

High school football has finally returned this season. American Christian Academy (1-0, 0-0) from Tuscaloosa played a home non-conference game against Parker (0-1, 0-0) football team from Birmingham, Friday night.

Last night Hillcrest defeated some dude named Sydney Lanier 10-3 according to the Dr Pepper scoreboard, as Nassir Boyd had 130 yards rushing.  Hillcrest plays the winner of Daphne-Wetumpka next week. The Northside Rams just might be the best team Samantha has ever seen and they can prove it tonight...

ACA is headed to Birmingham's BJCC to face off against Plainview at 1:30 Tuesday.  The boys basketball team made history yesterday with a win over Greene County to advance to its first ever Final Four. Tournament MVP and perfect free-throw shooter, Luke Skinner went 11 of 11 from the line and had 15 points and 10 rebounds...
