Italian Sausage and Pasta Salad.

This has to be one of the easiest and fastest thinks to cook on the grill ever.  Total time about 30-40 min.

I cooked Italian Sausage and Randi cooked the pasta salad( the box kind) We had crumbled cheese and croutons with it. That's it. Simple and fast.

I am using a little portable table top grill for cooking when it is just my family eating. The most important thing when getting your grill ready is letting the starter fluid burn off before you put your meat on the grill.

I use Kingsford charcoal and lighter fluid. I stacked my charcoal (about 3 double hand full for this example) in a pyramid and added the lighter fluid.  Wait about 3 or 4 min and light it up.

WAIT til the coals are white. Then place the sausages on the grill and let them sizzle about a min the roll them over and place the lid on. Adjust the air intake on the grill to wide open and listen for sizzling and watch for the drippings to catch on fire. Move the sausages around as needed. You don't want them to get black. (Burnt is Bad)

I used a meat thermometer to insure the internal temp of the sausage was at least 160°. Everything should be done in about 20 min.

We sliced the sausages and piled the pasta salad on our plates and added the cheese and croutons. Add beverage of choice and enjoy supper outside!

Oh, we had a can of OFF we sprayed all over us prior to getting started...dang mosquitoes.
