I found this recipe in an old cook book. The book came from Pine Hill, Alabama. Pine Hill is a small town near Camden in Wilcox County. My wife was raised there. The cook book was put together for a Relay for Life event several years ago and features recipes from the locals. I had to give Mrs. Martha Jackson's Crab Bisque recipe a try. It was easy enough and perfect as the weather starts to cool off.

Crab Bisque

I actually halved the recipe and had more than enough for the family. I went with Campbell's brand soup The only things I did different was use lump crab meat and simmered the bisque in a regular pot for about an hour.

It turned out pretty darn good to be just a bunch of different cans of soup mixed together.

I do have a question. Why does canned crab meat come with that little piece of wax paper in the bottom?
