Sister Hazel Perform ‘Champagne High’ Live in the Bear’s Den
Sister Hazel released their third album Fortress in 2000 and continued to build on their previous success with two singles from the record landing on the music charts.
'Change Your Mind' came first followed by 'Champagne High' and 'Beautiful Thing' as the band maintained a relentless touring schedule in support of the new music. Lead vocalist Ken Block says in the video, while setting up the song, that listeners in the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area were some of the the first believers in the Fortress record.
I can remember the days when Sister Hazel would roll into town and pack 1,100 people, shoulder-to-shoulder, into the Jupiter. The most amazing thing, Sister Hazel completely packed out the Tuscaloosa River Market during Sunday's Yellowhammer Festival as concertgoers stood shoulder-to-shoulder! They've still got it!
