Samsung vs. Apple

I got roped into buying HTC Inspire phones at my last upgrade opportunity. This choice was against my wife's choice of an iPhone. She and I have hated these phones for two years. It was a bad choice on my part.

My wife became eligible for another upgrade around Christmas and got an iPhone. I have an upgrade option now. I am torn between the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S III. I have read reviews, listened to fans of both phones and can't make a choice. I know I have to get rid of this HTC before it causes me to commit a crime . What do you think?
