Sally Field was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter recently, and the story, which was published last week, has raised a few eyebrows concerning her comments

In that interview, when asked the question, "What would you be if you were not an actor?" Ms. Field answered, "It’s not a question. I wouldn’t be. I would not be. It’s what I am, it’s what I’ve always been. There was nothing else. There was just nothing else. I would be really, really unhappy overweight person somewhere deep in Tuscaloosa.

A few people I've talked to, who met Ms. Field during the shooting of "Hooper",  recall her being very pleasant and friendly to the locals. So, her comments in The Hollywood Reporter are somewhat surprising. In any event, answering the question, "What would you be if you were not an actor?"  with a response of,  "I would be really, really unhappy overweight person somewhere deep in Tuscaloosa. , isn't going to get her a key to the city anytime soon.

Be that as it may, I, Louie Linguini, would like to respond by saying THIS to Ms. Field, "I would rather be a really, really unhappy overweight person deep in Tuscaloosa, than a Has-Been Actress whose best days are way behind her.......ROLL TIDE!"
