ALABAMA NEWS: This is not really Alabama news but I will report it as such. Texas A&M standout and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel predicted the Crimson Tide to win the BCS National Championship on January, 7, 2013 against Notre Dame.

NATIONAL NEWS: The FBI recovered the hard drive of Sandy Hook Elementary gunman Adam Lanza but said it had been damaged with either a hammer or screwdriver. Lanza may also have overwritten it in an attempt to hide any secrets.

SPORTS: Former Bama QB Greg McElroy has been named the Jets starting QB for Sunday’s game with the San Diego Chargers! I'm sure I join other fans of former Tide players in the NFL in saying, "Well, it’s about time. Roll Tide!"

ENTERTAINMENT: Tonight is the live finale of ‘The Voice’! A new champion will be crowned. The show airs on NBC at 7pm and will feature live performances from The Killers, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson and Rihanna. I am betting that pop rock standout Cassadee Pope will walk away from the show with the title of ‘The Voice’! #TeamBlake all the way!

MUSIC: Gary Allan previewed his upcoming album ‘Set You Free’ at a private industry event in September. The singer has now revealed the art work, track listing and release date for the much-anticipated new record. ‘Set You Free’ will be released on Jan. 22!

RANDOM FACT OF THE DAY: The small drop of toothpaste you use to brush your teeth is called a nurdle!
