Long Live Country Music

We announced earlier that Jamey Johnson was coming back to Tuscaloosa to play Jupiter Bar and Grill on November 15th. I can't wait for the show.

I miss his kind of music. Jamey Johnson has a true appreciation for the roots of country music.

I rushed to buy "That Lonesome Song" in 2008, then "The Guitar Song" in 2010 and on October 16th 2012, I was standing in a line to get a copy of  his ‘Livin’ For a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran’  Please tell me you know who Hank Cochran is. (a clue: He's in the Nashville Songwriter's Hall of Fame) Read up Here.

After hearing the news that Jamey Johnson was coming back to Tuscaloosa, It got me itchin' to hear him. I put on one of my favorites from his 2010 "The Guitar Song" Album.  "That's Why I Write Songs"

I believe him. I'd bet anything that's why Hank Cochran wrote songs too.  Long Live Country Music. And Welcome back to Tuscaloosa Jamey Johnson.
