Lainey Wilson Reveals Hilarious Punishment The Judge Gave Her After Speeding Ticket [WATCH]
Just when you think you have heard everything there is to hear about Lainey Wilson, she drops an amazing story on us.
The "Somewhere Over Laredo" singer was a guest on the Life With John Mayer show on SiriusXM radio where she details a particular song that she once wrote for a bizarre reason.
Lainey Wilson Reveals Why She Once Wrote a Song About Getting a Speeding Ticket
Wilson says, "I got a ticket when I was 15 for going 75 in a 45 [mph], thank goodness the judge was my next door neighbor."
First of all, this shows just how small and quaint Wilson's hometown of Baskin, La. really is that the judge that presides over the town of 250 people lived next door to her.
But that didn't mean she walked away with a simple slap on the wrist after her speeding ticket.

What Was Lainey Wilson's Punishment For Speeding?
Wilson holds back laughter as she spills the details of the 15+ year-old story. Her next-door-neighbor judge made Wilson write a song about speeding as her punishment.

Wilson sings what she remembers of the song to Mayer: "Goin' 75 in a 45, da da, da...you know, whatever."
Naturally, being the supreme songwriter and vocalist that Wilson is, she did make the snippet of the song she sang sound amazing and not like it was a joke.
But unfortunately for fans, she made it pretty clear in the interview that that song won't ever turn up as a single or on an album track list.
