One week ago, we moved the baby ducks to the Pond house and today I went back for a visit. They've morphed into teenagers. They're HUGE. Remember, they were born on March 15th, so they're only eighteen days old. They've literally quadrupled since the last time I saw them seven days ago when they looked like this:

Today, they look like this:

We've given them names as well: Et Tu, Brutus, Daffy and Nacho Libre. They're beginning to feather and tomorrow we're going to buy them a swimming pool since a hungry hawk begins circling when we try to take them to a nearby stream.

On a side note, each morning when I leave for work, the mama and daddy ducks are waiting for me at the driveway. They must have been especially hungry today because as I walked across the street to feed them, an egg just slap fell out of Greedy Greta as she waddled to get to the feeding area first. She never checked up either. She just let it drop then turned on the juice and blew past the others like she stole something.

After today's visit with the babies, Perry and I walked over to see the original flock and imagine our surprise when we discovered this:
