Tuesday evening, Tuscaloosa police arrested three men in Tuscaloosa evening for doing business without a license.
The three men arrested were identified by police as 31-year-old Gordon Dixon of Frisco, TX, 20-year-old Frederick Emuel Berry of Allen, TX, and 35-year-old John Keith Clarke of Hagerstown, MD. Each were held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $500 bond.

Residents who live north of the river said they were approached by individuals who reported to be employed by a company called Globe Wide Entertainment. TPD identifed the men arrested by their agency as working for a company with the same name.

WBRC reported they have placed numerous calls to the company but were unable to speak with anyone at Globe Wide Entertainment. They reported the website and Facebook page listed through the Better Business Bureau were inactive.

'The Better Business Bureau of Central Alabama said complaints have been filed on Michigan-based Globe Wide Entertainment through BBB chapters in Texas. The BBB says complainants have ordered magazines through the company, but never received any magazines or a response from the company.'

The City of Tuscaloosa says anyone conducting door-to-door sales in Tuscaloosa must obtain a business license through the city.
