The NCAA recruiting dead period came to a close on June 1st, face-to-face interaction between coaches and recruits can finally begin, meaning many new faces will be making an appearance in Tuscaloosa this week.

Andrew Bone, Senior Recruiting Analyst for BamaInsider, reported the Crimson Tide's top-rated recruits arrived on campus this past weekend and will be competing in practice with the hopes of earning scholarships or improving their standing on recruiting boards. Here is a look at some of the biggest names trying to improve their stocks this week at Alabama summer practice.

Ty Simpson

The first of two Crimson Tide commitments on the list, Ty Simpson is a 2022 five-star quarterback prospect out of Westview High School in Martin, TN that committed to Alabama in February. A top-25 player in the nation, according to 247Sports, Simpson is one of the most electric prospects in the country and will be an excellent addition to the Crimson Tide.

Trequon Fegans

Fegans is a 2022 four-star cornerback out of Oxford, AL ranked fourth in the state, according to 247Sports. Standing at 6-foot-2, 181 pounds, Fegans is an aggressive ballhawk corner who has picked off five passes in his two seasons as a starter in high school, returning all of them for touchdowns.

T.J. Dudley

Coming out of Montgomery Catholic High School in Montgomery, AL, Dudley is a four-star linebacker prospect ranked ninth in the state, according to 247Sports. Dudley, a member of the 2022 recruiting class, currently has offers from schools all across the country, including multiple Alabama SEC rivals. Dudley is set to arrive on campus June 19th.

Jayden Wayne

Jayden Wayne, the second five-star on the list, is one of the top recruits in the 2023 class. Hailing all the way from Tacoma, Washington, Wayne has offers from multiple Pac-12 schools already but is bound to be one of the most highly sought after names in the 2023 cycle. Ranked first in the state of Washington, according to 247Sports, Wayne is a massive defensive lineman that will heavily impact whatever program he chooses.

Caleb Presley

Caleb Presley is another recruit hailing from the pacific northwest. Coming out of Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, WA, Presley is a 2023 four-star cornerback, according to the 247Sports composite ranking. Despite a slightly smaller frame at just 6-foot 170 pounds, Presley has incredible coverage skills and can provide lock down defense.

Another in-state recruit, Kelby Collins is a 2023 four-star defensive lineman out of Gardendale, AL. According to 247Sports, Collins ranks sixth in the state of Alabama and has fielded over 20 offers to various power five programs.

Ronnie Royal

Ronnie Royal is a 2024 athlete that plays all over the field for Alexandria High School in Alexandria, AL. Royal has yet to receive a ranking from any major recruiting outlet, but was a 5A first-team all state selection as an eight grader in 2019, according to 247Sports.

 

Jaheim Oatis

Jaheim Oatis, the other official Alabama commit of the bunch, is a 6-foot-4 350 pound defensive lineman out of Columbia, MS. Oatis, according to 257Sports, is a four-star ranked third in the state of Mississippi and hold offers from many other SEC schools. Oatis has been receiving college offers since his eighth grade year, and has the build to be a force in the middle of the defense.
